Torenia - Wishbone Flower

Wishbone Flower is a dainty delightful little flower that can take heat, humidity and shade.  The common name, Wishbone Flower, refers to two of the plant's stamens, which are joined at the base in the form of a chicken wishbone.

Botanical Name : Torenia hybrid

Take flowers that start blooming early and keep on until late fall, then add a mounding/trailing habit and unique, yellow-throated pure white bloom. The result is a new Torenia that fills hanging baskets and containers with masses snapdragon-like white flowers all season long, and is wonderful as a groundcover in shady areas.

This filtered-sun lover provides superb color throughout even the hottest months of the year and does well in pots and window boxes with its amethyst-colored flowers all season long.  Like all the Summer Wave Torenias, this plant thrives in high humidity. Plant it alone, or combine it with Sutera (Bacopa) or Supertunias®.
