Common Name: Thyme
'Common' No herb garden is complete without a generous supply of Common or English Thyme. These highly fragrant plants produce quantities of tiny leaves that you can use either fresh or dried. Like other Thymes, it requires a sunny exposure and good drainage. This plant will also beautify your garden with bright white to purple flowers in the summer. |

Common Name: Thyme
'Silver Edge' Thymus or thymon is Greek for "courage." Through the centuries it has been used for traditions relating to this theme. Roman soldiers bathed in thyme water, European knights carried thyme tokens. Other folklore talks of thyme as being the home of fairies. Silver Variegated cream and silver leaves make Silver Edge Thyme one of the more unusual Thyme selections. It's an ornamental variety you can interplant with low growing flowers in your perennial or herb garden. Silver Edge Thyme also looks good in pots, planters, and window boxes. |
