  Summer Squash & Zucchini

Squash is a very easy crop, growing quickly from being direct-sown into the warm spring soil or getting a head start with our peat cup transplants . A native American vegetable, squash is one of the Three Sisters, the traditional Indian combination planting of beans, corn, and squash to make a complete protein. In the Three Sisters planting, each vegetable helps the others -- the beans grow up the corn while the squash keeps weeds at bay on the garden floor!
