Shasty Daisy - Leucanthemum

Shasta Daisies are all-time favorites for the perennial border. The cheery flowers begin to appear in late spring and continue on for several months if faithfully deadheaded. Shastas mix so effortlessly with other perennials that no garden should be without them! A plant that is easily grown in average, well-drained soils in full sun.

Common Name:  'Shasty Daisy'
Botanical Name : Leucanthemum  'Broadway Lights'

You haven't seen anything quite like this Leucanthemum, in fact, it may change the way you look at Shasta Daisies forever! 'Broadway Lights' is a true flower color break through as big buds unfold in early to mid-June to reveal big, bright lemony yellow daisies that will astound your perennial garden or container. What makes these flowers even more remarkable is their color change as they mature with a progression to buttery and cream shades that will leave the plant covered with different graduations of color when the bloom is heaviest. And it will be a heavy bloom, indeed, on this very floriferous selection with dark green foliage and dense form that showcases the blooming abundance even better. You can even extend the bloom season beyond late July by quick flower deadheading. Plant 'Broadway lights' in full sun in groups or in the middle of your perennial borders and enjoy the show!

Matures 16-20" tall and wide.          Hardy to Zone 4

Common Name: Dwarf  'Shasty Daisy'
Botanical Name : Leucanthemum x superbum  'Snowcap'

'Snowcap' is an especially compact selection that we have found to be the best dense selection available to the homeowner, with masses of single, intensely pure white daisy flowers, each with a yellow center.  These long last flowers are produced in abundance and are excellent for cutting when in bloom from late June all the way into mid August.  Removing faded flowers will greatly increase the blooming time.  Dark green foliage grows nicely on rounded, tidy clumps.  Due to its compact nature, 'Snowcap' tolerates wind and rain in the garden better than other Shasta Daisies meaning less breakage and disappointment, and far less maintenance, making it and easy care landscape dream.

Matures at 14" tall x 12" wide.      Hardy to Zone 4
