Common Name:  'Sea Thrift'
Botanical Name : Armeria maritima  'Splendens'

A spectacular, small perennial ideal for limited spaces. Produces a dome of blade-like dark green foliage in a perfectly round form. Blooms in mid to late spring. Flowers are a bright wine red pompon about 1½ inches wide perched atop thin straight upright stems. Re-blooms heavily over 6 to 8 weeks. Excellent for edging or as a tightly spaced groundcover for mass color. Well suited to front of the garden or rock gardens and dry stream beds. Perfect size for pots and troughs. Herbaceous perennial. Full sun.

Matures: 6-8" tall x 10-12" wide.       Hardy to Zone 4
