Bellflower -
Campanula
An entire
book could be written on the many species of this large group of
perennials. The bell-shaped flowers come in a wide variety of colors, and
grow anywhere from a few inches to several feet high. We have chose two of
the shorter varieties that should do well in a border or rock garden
setting. Campanulas like full sun, but can grow in light shade. If
given plenty of room to grow, and good garden soil, they will show their
appreciation by blooming heavily.
