Mountain Laurel

Mountain Laurel is an evergreen plant that grows naturally in eastern North America. As a shrub, it stands 5 to 10 feet tall and as a tree, it can reach 30 feet high or more. It has pink or white flowers, which may have purple markings, and glossy, dark leaves that are oblong and pointed at the ends.

Botanical Name : Kalmia latifolia 'Elf'

Among the most prized of the broad leaved evergreens, this Rhododendron like shrub covers itself with saucer shaped flowers in June. Ideal in open woodland, around the foundation, or in the border. Handsome. Small leaved, tidy and glossy. Flowers are light pink .

Matures 5' tall x 5' wide.       Hardy to Zone 5.
