Forget-me-not - Myosotis

The forget-me-not has been described as a wayward adolescent because it continually wants to break away from home and join the wild bunch/  It particularly enjoys dampness such as that beside a stream, but it also likes compost piles and mulch heaps.  It seeds so freely that in late spring many perennial gardens are covered with these familiar dainty blue flowers that have a tiny gold circle in the center.
