Add a light, fluffy texture to your landscape with this selection that features airy, finely cut foliage that forms an deceptively thick mound of deep greenery in the garden. Its texture alone makes this plant desirable, but add in a near constant 3 month flower show from May through August, and this plant may become one of your favorites. The flowers are profuse and fragrant with a deep wine-red color and a long tubular form that is pleasing and different, Even your local hummingbirds will find it a treat and who could blame them for liking a plant that is so easy to grow and tolerant of sun but far more at home in a partially shaded spot.

Native to Eastern United States, 'Eximia' is noted for its profusion of pink hearts. Its gray-green foliage is finely dissected and gives a soft appearance in the shade garden. Self sows. Good for naturalized setting.

A gorgeous, old-fashioned perennial forming a large clump of fern-like foliage, covered with strings of deep pink, heart-shaped flowers in late spring. This 3' perennial prefers full sun to partial shade and consistently moist, fertile, well-drained soil. Foliage yellows and dies back in hot, dry conditions. A hummingbird favorite.

Botanical Name : Dicentra spectabilis 'Alba'

A perfect foil to its pink and white flower color cousin. 'Alba' is a magnificent presence in the spring garden with flesh, medium green, deeply cut foliage forming a considerable mound topped by strings of pure white bleeding heart flowers starting in late April and blooming into late May. Its size and its blooming power can leave your breathless, as this traditional garden plant still packs a punch after all these years. Plant 'Alba' is semi-shaded to shades areas and in moist, well-drained soils and feel free to combine them with the traditional Old Fashioned spectabilis for a fantastic display of bloom!
