Common Name:
'Beauty Bush' Scientific Name : Kolkwitzia amabilis 'Pink Cloud' A lovely medium-size shrub with erect branches that arch gracefully. Displays profuse clusters of small, bell-shaped, pink with yellow throat flowers for a great summer accent. Deciduous. Full sun. The stunning display of hundreds of white-pink flowers on a single Beautybush comprise its only ornamental attribute, as its fuzzy brown fruits, sprawling growth habit, and lack of fall color limit its widespread usage. This shrub is best placed by itself in a large lawn, or as a component of the shrub border in a naturalized site, as it can easily grow beyond its intended boundaries. Fast-growing to 10 feet high and wide. Hardy to Zone 4. |
